The Bungles’ signature look comes from 350-million-year-old sandstone striped with bands of orange iron oxide and dark cyanobacteria, rising abruptly out of the spinifex plains in beehive-shaped domes that stand up to 300 metres tall. This shade captures the pure orange band of that sandstone at midday: a warm terracotta-rust base, fully pigmented and self-levelling, with a clean glossy finish that mimics polished Kimberley rock.
